Meet Dr. Filbert

Dr. Filbert grew up in eastern Washington and moved to the Seattle area to attend the University of Washington, where he earned his undergraduate degree and where he attended the School of Dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990. He then was accepted to the General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center, a year-long hospital-based advanced education program for general dentists. This program included rotations through Harborview Medical Center, the University Medical Center, Veterans' Administration Hospital, and Children's Hospital. This comprehensive program emphasized surgery, pediatric dentistry, and dental care for medically-compromised patients. In 1991, he opened his private dental practice in Federal Way, WA. 

He is active in two study clubs that meet monthly-- one that centers around comprehensive restorative dentistry, and the other that centers around orthodontics.   He has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, dental implants. He completes over 100 hours of continuing education each year to support his philosophy of being able to provide as many services to his patients as possible.
